Jo's blossoming romance with out-of-towner Travis Williams is cut short when PJ reveals Travis is a dangerous criminal put way for murdering his girlfriends. The vicious crime haunts PJ who arrested Travis and is immediately suspicious of his return to Mt. Thomas. Tom warns Jo to dump the romance before she becomes too involved and jeopardises her job.
